Paintball with Tanks, Mortars, and Buildings

Thursday, September 27th, 2007

This looks like a helluva lot of fun. These guys have tanks, mortars, and buildings to play from. It looks insane. Almost as crazy as the d-day scenario video!

D-Day Paintball ReEnactment

Wednesday, September 26th, 2007

This is one of the most fun looking paintball videos I’ve ever seen. That’s what I call a battle. Give me a MilTec M16 and a lot of ammo and I’d be set!

As shot on location by the staff of Voodoo Paintball in St-Etienne des grès, QC Canada

Paintball Grenade Launcher Video

Wednesday, September 26th, 2007

If you’re a scenario player you’ll be sure to find this interesting. This is a paintball grenade launcher. It looks pretty wicked.

We’ve got Paintball Grenades as well as mines but nothing quite like this! I’d feel lame running around with a water balloon filled with paint if I was up against one of those RAP4 launchers.

Paintball Headshot Video

Wednesday, September 26th, 2007

If you’ve watched paintball videos on youtube you’ve probably seen this one already.. but it is good.

Watch this poor guy get nailed right in the head with a paintball. :)

Paintball For Beginners

Monday, September 17th, 2007

If you’ve been thinking about playing paintball this is for you! Like any expensive hobby it is a good idea to try it out before you make any large investments. Luckily this is easy to do with paintball since renting equipment or borrowing from friends is very easy.

Once you’ve decided that paintball is in fact the extreme sport for you you’ll need to pick up a paintball gun. There is a huge variety and price ranges of paintball guns out there (also called paintball markers). One thing to keep in mind when choosing your first gun is that you will most likely want to upgrade parts of it in the future if you continue to play. Some guns have a large amount of upgrades available. Tippmann paintball guns are one such brand. The base model markers are fairly inexpensive but can be upgraded considerably one part at a time. You can also purchase them in various packages which change out parts such as the barrel or stock to give it a different appearance.

Once you’ve picked out a gun you’ll need an air tank since they aren’t included. Paintball tanks are either CO2 (carbon dioxide) or N2 (nitrogen). CO2 tanks are cheaper and would probably be a good choice for your first set of gear. Tanks arrive empty if you order them online but can be filled at your favorite paintball field or shop.

Of course you won’t get very far without some protective gear or ammunition. Paintballs come in a wide variety of colors and qualities. Choosing a paintball is largely based on individual preference. Of course you will need some protective gear such as a mask, gloves, etc. in order to prevent getting injured when paintballs are whizzing past your head and one of them finds the target. Getting hit with a paintball hurts bad enough with all the protective gear, so this is one area where you don’t want to skimp! Go play with someone more experienced who can guide you and give you advice. Soon you’ll be dragging other new players along with you.

Remember to always keep it safe. Keep your mask on at all times when you’re on the field, and always put your barrel cover (aka condom)on when outside the field. Always listen to more experienced players and don’t forget to have fun!

new logo!

Sunday, September 16th, 2007

Well our old logo served us well for a long time.  It was however just something that was created in a hurry when we opened our paintball shop.  Well that is no longer the case as we recently had a new one designed!

Without further ado, here is the new Cozmo Paintball logo!

Let us know what you think.
